What I have learned about action research

It is known that our society has been molded or built upon based on research that has been conducted.  Whether it is research based on money, schooling, social status, race, etc.  There is always research that needs to be done on a specific topic before arriving to a conclusion.  I have always wondered what type of research has been conducted.

I have learned so much about action research.  To me, it has been such a powerful tool that brings certain individuals to work collaboratively.  As an educator and prospective administrator, I feel confident that the action research that I conduct will benefit all stakeholders involved.   This type of research is so valuable since it is an ongoing process that can be utilized effectively by everyone.  As educators, we are bombarded with a variety of external research that has to do with students, effective instruction, etc.  There is benefit from external research but what a better way to learn about certain things ourselves in conducting action research.  Teachers and administrators are working collaboratively by constantly questioning, reflecting, analyzing, and problem solving to modify and find solutions.  There is no doubt that action research will bring administrators and educators close together by working collaboratively and effectively.  This will be a must at my campus as a current educator and prospective administrator.
